Sarah Stuart
Licensed Clinical Social Worker – State of Arkansas (USA)
M.A. Social Work – University of Denver (USA)
As a therapist with 15 years of experience providing individual and group therapy to Children, Adolescents and Families, I have expertise in working with issues of trauma, at-risk youth, mental illness and clinical diagnosis. I am competent in providing trainings and consultations within the community. Having roots as a missionary kid (MK), I have a passion to serve third culture kids MK's and cross-cultural workers.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong as a Missionary Kid (MK). During my teen years my family moved to Thailand and I went to Dalat International School (grades 9, 10 and 12) as a boarding student in Penang, Malaysia. I loved my worldwide childhood. It was through all these experiences that God led my heart and passion for people who are hurting.
Later, I received a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 1995. While living in Colorado I worked 7 years for the County Mental Health Center as a Child and Family Therapist and Supervisor. I have 12 years of experience in the Social Work field.
Thankfully, I married Peter in 2002 and stayed home to raise our two daughters. It was during these years that God opened the doors to practice again as a therapist combining all my life and work experiences.
I am thrilled to serve as a Child and Family Therapist to those who are hurting. One population my position will serve are TCKs (Third Culture Kids) MKs and other cross-cultural Christian workers.
