Retreat Leaders
Carol Swanson
She is married to Jay and has 3 married sons and boasts 11 grandchildren. She is a retired Registered Nurse, having spent most of her professional career teaching Maternal/Child Nursing. She and Jay became a Spiritual Directors in 2008; she also holds a Masters degree in Spiritual Formation and Leadership. She has a growing passion for the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, delighting in seeing growth in intimacy with God. She is also a trained Centering Prayer presenter. They both had the privilege of serving as Spiritual Directors in Malaysia, and Nairobi, Kenya, facilitating contemplative practices.
Jocelyn Head
For the past 35 years Jocelyn has been part of Wycliffe Bible Translators Australia, working in PNG, Australia and New Zealand. Her personal journey of grief and depression have led her on a deep spiritual journey. In 2002 she and Stephen were seconded to Heartstream Resources. Since then she has been offering spiritual direction, retreats, quiet prayer days and teaching on spiritual formation within the mission context. She is very familiar with cross cultural travel, transitions and the struggles of daily life.
